Vision’s shelter project for children was a tremendous success. In 2006, Pakistan passed the Child Protection Act, later creating opportunities for government shelters to collaborate with non-profit organizations working towards the same goals. Vision collaborated with the Child Protection Bureau of Pakistan, contributing what they had learned over the years of administering the Haath Mein Haath Project. This project, shuttered in 2010, provided street children a safe space to live, learn and express themselves. They often did, as the art here shows, taken from one of the walls of the shelter before it closed.
